Opalonga’s Storytelling Corner

The Legacy Lives On!

Opalonga Pugh was a storyteller who traveled globally collecting and sharing stories as a native “daughter of the dust” of the historic black community in Five Points, Denver, Colorado. We personally knew her, affectionately, as our “Nana” and have so many fond memories of her. She transitioned in June of 2010, yet her impact lives on at Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Academy and now in this mobile storytelling experience.

Opalonga’s Storytelling Corner is a fun and interactive way to teach life lessons, morals and principles. Through the mediums listed in the picture above, we tell captivating stories to enrich peoples lives. We offer this experience at libraries, schools, community centers, performing art centers and places of worship.
